This was the goal when designing the conform chair, which aims to provide comfortable, attractive residential and office seating with the most economical use of materials possible. Involving only cutting and bending operations, the final product strikes a balance of economy, comfort, and style. The chair would be constructed from bent plywood: using no fasteners or adhesives, two chairs can be cut from a single 4' x 8' sheet of material.
